Happy Easter!

It felt great to get 2 extra hours of sleep, for our boys slept in until 9am! Roman was the first to wake and he found his Easter basket immediately. He is infatuated with trains these days, and so he was VERY happy to see TWO trains in his basket from the beloved Easter bunny. After he scrambled through the loot, we had a Easter egg hunt in our livingroom using plastic eggs. Genius idea! Titus was busy chewing on his new teething toys, while Roman looked for eggs. He did a great job finding all of them.

Next, it was time to get ready for church. Both boys wore long-sleeved button-up collared shirts with vests and jeans. They were so handsome....and I am so totally bummed that we didn't take pictures of their cuteness (we just ran out of time!). When we got to chuch, we dropped Titus off at the nursery and Roman off at Sunday school. Roman cried when we left him, but later when I peeked my head in, I saw that he was sitting still on the floor listening to the lesson ;)

We had every intention of making it to the early service at 8:30am, but our bodies apparently needed the rest. So, we went to the 11:00am service. I have to say that I prefer the early service. It's a blended traditional service, while the later service has a more modern-style vibe to it. I'm all about alternative Christian music, but this was a bit much. The drums and guitars were SO loud, I could barely concentrate on the message itself.

After church, the boys were put in their play clothes while I prepared the meal. I made a smoked glazed ham, garlic mashed potatoes, fresh vegetables with a four cheese sauce and brown-n-serve rolls. Everything was delicious.

Amazing love! How can it be - that you my King would die for me?
